Dear Friends.... now days I am reading the book named FREEDOM AT MIDNIGHT which is written by the famous writer Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins (co writer)......and I want to share some of the interesting facts that author has narrated in this saga of independence of India which She has achieved through means of NON-VIOLENCE and thus forced the mighty British empire to leave the country which has been made possible by a man half clad in two piece of cloth with a stick in one hand....!!! This is true but there are various other unsung heroes who has not got that much honor for what they have done to the country...as this is my first blog I would so I would request the visitors to give there full comments on the topic which I am writing.... !!!

So here are some of the interesting facts from the book....which I will be posting from time to time.. as I would get "TIME"

• According to the author of this book....Lord Mountbatten the then Viceroy of India was not aware of the "situation" of M.A Jinnah the then leader of the Muslim league that he is having T.B and has a life left for only few months....as he would have known the fact he would have for sure delayed the independence of India....and thus India would have been undivided.

• He still feel proud as if he is the most powerful man on the earth alive because he had once controlled the life of 1/5th of the population of the world by ruling India as the last Viceroy of India.

For now only this much i have to share I will keep posting more of the facts and comments over te books and the issue of independence of India.
